There comes a time in every home-chef’s life where he or she needs to elevate their kitchen skills. Today, I took a shot at artistic plating for the very first time.. and I will definitely be doing a lot more of it in the near future.
This dish is an interpretation of a way to eat healthy without it looking too dull or unappetizing. The chicken breast is poached and sprinkled with a cayenne/paprika mix. The smooth, green avocado puree works as a base for the colorful micro-garden with a hard boiled egg yolk representing a bright, sunny source. A sweet Portobella mushroom reduction is delicately placed in the center to enrich the mild taste of the chicken with something hearty and soulful on the palate.
